Information reaching Gists9ja has it that some yet-to-be-identified gunmen have reportedly kidnapped Anambra State’s Commissioner for Youth Development, Hon Patrick Aghamba.
According to the information, Commissioner Aghamba was kidnapped alongside his wife.
It was gathered that the gunmen also killed one of the aides to the Commissioner, identified as Mr ABK Offiah.
Aghamba and his wife were said to be travelling in their private vehicle when they were reportedly ambushed, and kidnapped by gunmen in Kogi state.
Anambra State Governor, Professor Soludo has however activated security actions to free the abducted Commissioner and his wife immediately and unhurt.
It was also discovered that the phone number of the said kidnapped Commissioner has been off for a while now.
However, the Press Secretary (PS) to the Anambra state governor, Mr. Christian Aburime who is already in Abuja for his principal’s daughter’s wedding told LEADERSHIP on phone that the sad news of the kidnap of the Commissioner and his wife had reach the state government.
He said Governor Soludo has commenced frantic security contacts to ensure that the commissioner and his wife were rescued unhurt and immediately too.
“Oga (Governor Soludo) has already begun making security contacts to make sure the Commissioner and his wife were rescued unhurt, and, as quickly as possible. We just received the news now”, Aburime said.
