Christmas: Imbibe Christ’s virtues: Otunba Tola Faseru Urges Christians.
Otunba Tola Faseru, the Osun State Honorable Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security has called on Christians in the state to imbibe the virtues of Jesus Christ whose birth, he said, brought a refreshing dawn to mankind.
Describing Christ as a symbol of humility and selflessness, the Honorable Commissioner, in a Christmas message to Christians, said the season comes with lessons.
In a statement made available to news men by his media team, Otunba Tola Faseru said Christ’s humility and selflessness should be imbibed by Christians across the world.
“He was born in a manger, a place no one would choose to be born, yet He is God and Saviour. Christmas reminds us that humility and selflessness are the hallmarks of leadership, as exhibited by Christ Himself”, the statement quoted Otunba Tola Faseru as saying.
“This season readily reminds us of our duties; as political leaders and leaders in all strata of human endeavours to show salutary examples in all we do.”
Otunba Tola Faseru wished Christians peace and joy as they celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and charged them to remain committed to the lessons of Christmas.
“As you celebrate the birth of our saviour, remember the reason for the season and let it never depart from your hearts”.
“I urge you all to eschew violence and embrace peace in order to experience the true joy of the season and continuous development of Osun state he concluded”.
