Christmas: Osun Speaker, Egbedun preaches Love, Sacrifice at Christmas

The Speaker of Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adewale Olumide Egbedun has implored Christians to show love and be compassionate with the less-privileged.

Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun congratulated Christians faithful on the occasion of this year’s Christmas, saying the festival is firmly rooted in Christian faith as it marks the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Speaker urged christians to use the occasion to extend hands of love and humane brotherliness as enshrined in the the doctrine of Christmas.

“I extend my warmest greetings to the peace-loving people of Osun State in this season of celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. It is a time for us to show gratitude to God for his numerous blessings especially through the Lord Jesus to redeem the world from Everlasting ruins. It is indeed a time to demonstrate utmost humility, enduring kindness and heart of sacrifice especially towards the less privileged in our society.”

“The birth of Christ is the greatest gift of love for mankind. Let us emulate the examples of Christ and be compassionate to one another regardless of the current circumstances in our Nation. A little act of kindness can make a big difference at this time and this Christmas season provides us the ample opportunity to show the Christ-like meekness in us all”

“I also appeal to Christian clerics and adherents of the faith to use the opportunity of this period to pray for our dear state and especially the leader of the State, His Excellency Sen. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke for attainment of his noble objectives for a greater Osun State”

On behalf of my colleagues in the Osun State House of Assembly, I wish the good people of Osun State, Merry Christmas and prosperous New Year in advance.” The Speaker concluded.
