Easter Celebration: Senator Fadahunsi Felicitates Christians, Urges Sobriety, Love and Unity
The Senator representing Osun East, and Chairman Senate Committee on Industry, Distinguished Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi OFR, has extended warm Easter greetings to the people of his Senatorial District, Osun State, and Nigerians at large, calling on all to pragmatically demonstrate the spirit of sacrifice that defines the season.
Fadahunsi, in a statement,released by his media team, congratulated Christians in Osun East,Osun State, and Nigeria at large in witnessing another Easter celebration, which commemorates the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The Ijesa born lawmaker described Easter as a period for personal and collective reflection, urging Christians to uphold values such as love, unity, peace, and selflessness for the progress of the nation.
He also congratulated believers on the successful completion of the 40-days Lenten season, prayer and penance, describing it as a holy period that offers another chance for spiritual rebirth,renewal, and growth.
The federal lawmaker said, “The reason for the season is sobriety and deep reflection of individual relationship with God so that Christ’s sacrificial service would not be in vain.”
He urged Christians to demonstrate love not only to fellow believers but also to people of other faiths, noting that such gestures foster peaceful coexistence and national harmony.
Senator Fadahunsi further appealed to Christian leaders to remain steadfast in preaching Christlike virtues, emphasizing that self-awakening is essential to tackling the social and moral challenges confronting Nigeria.
Expressing optimism for a brighter future, Senator Fadahunsi encouraged continued prayers for the peace, unity, and progress of the country.
He equally calls for support for His Excellency Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, the Executive Governor of Osun State, noting that the governor deserved a second term in office, considering his landmark and impressive achievements in office.
