JUST IN: Ondo Election Preparations Underway as INEC Distributes Sensitive Materials
As the Ondo State election approaches, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially started distributing critical election materials throughout the state to ensure smooth polling on Saturday.
This distribution is being conducted at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) branch in Akure, where electoral officers from all 18 local government areas are collecting the necessary materials for their respective locations. The materials, considered essential for the election process, are being handed over under strict monitoring to maintain transparency and security.
Representatives from various political parties, alongside accredited election observers, are also present at the distribution site to oversee the process and confirm that procedures are properly followed. This oversight by party agents and observers reflects INEC’s commitment to conducting an open and credible election.
INEC’s National Commissioner, Ken Ukeagu, is personally supervising the distribution in Akure, the capital city of Ondo State, to ensure that the materials reach their destinations efficiently and without incident.
