LG Polls: Ifedayo PDP Local Executives Endorse Kayode Atolagbe’s candidacy
Ahead of the February 2025 Osun State Local Government elections, Ifedayo local government PDP Executives have endorsed the candidacy of Hon. Kayode Atolagbe.
Sixteen (16) members of the executive signed the endorsement note as they described the immediate past Caretaker Chairman, Atolagbe as a committed and loyal party man who stood by the Party.
The executive members said they cannot go against the wish of the elder’s caucus who is the conscience of the party, noting that they cannot afford to entrust the local government in the hand of a fair-weather friend who only joined the party after the Osun 2022 governorship election victory.
“The Local Executive Committee wishes to commend the efforts of the PDP elder’s caucus in Ifedayo local government in making sure that our party remains strong and united.
“We also commend all their commitments and sacrifices towards the peace and development of our party in the local government.
“We wholeheartedly support the endorsement of Hon. Kayode Atolagbe by the elder’s caucus of our party and we are also using this medium to pass a vote of confidence on him and we give out total endorsement and support for him towards the forthcoming local government election.
“As a party, we desire a loyal, faithful and committed local government Chairman, who knows the yearnings and pains of all the longstanding party members and the entire populace. These are what we see in Kayode Atolagbe, hence his endorsement.”
“We condemn in strong terms the antics of some members and their sponsors who are hellbent on pulling the party down just because their parochial interests are not satisfied. We want to admonish every member to pursue their ambitions.without jeopardizing the collective interest of the party. We sternly warn that the culprits shall be subjected to disciplinary actions if they fail to tow the path of peace henceforth.
“We commend the wisdom of our leaders under Honorable Sunday Bisi for their wisdom in handling the affairs of the party.
“We strongly support every decision taken by the Chairman and the working committee for the peace, progress and the advancement of our party and the government.under our amiable Governor Asiwaju Nurudeen Ademola Jackson Adeleke.”
Recall that the elder’s caucus of the party in their meeting, last month, passed a vote of confidence on Hon. Kayode Atolagbe and endorsed his candidature.
