Social Media Influencers Pledge Support for Governor Ademola Adeleke’s Vision of Good Governance
Aseyori Imole Osun, an online advocacy group dedicated to promoting good governance, held its inaugural training conference for grassroots social media influencers across Osun State. Under the leadership of Mallam Olawale Rasheed, Spokesperson to the Executive Governor of Osun State,Governor Ademola Adeleke, the event brought together social media influencers committed to highlighting the positive developments within the state—without financial incentives. Organized by Comrade Abduljelili Samakin, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media Monitoring under the leadership of the Spokesperson to the Governor, Malam Olawale Rasheed, the conference is a forum for emphasizing the governor’s achievements and discussing the state’s future under his administration.
This conference, attended by influencers from various local governments across Osun, served as a platform to reaffirm their commitment to spreading awareness of Governor Adeleke’s efforts. This online advocacy is essential for Osun’s progress, as it informs citizens about the positive changes and fosters a collective commitment to supporting the government’s vision.

Osun’s Past and Present – Learning from History:
In a talk themed “Osun Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow,” Alhaji Abdulkareem Adekilekun, Senior Special Assistant to the governor, highlighted the impacts of previous administrations.
He contrasted the dismissal of teachers under AD Baba Bisi Akande’s administration with the reinstatement of workers by PDP’s Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, illustrating the importance of continuity and compassion in governance. Understanding this history is vital for citizens, as it underscores the importance of policies that promote stability and prioritize citizens’ welfare.
Hon. Adekilekun also emphasized Governor Adeleke’s efforts to resume and complete projects neglected by past administrations, a move crucial for sustainable development in Osun.
According to Adekilekun, “In today’s Osun, Governor Adeleke has constructed over 200 kilometers of roads and revitalized multiple projects.” These projects enhance infrastructure, improve mobility, and directly impact economic growth and quality of life for Osun residents.
On the governor’s achievements include constructing health centers, purchasing tractors for farmers, and building over 200 classrooms. By prioritizing these sectors, the administration is investing in the well-being, education, and economic empowerment of its citizens.
These initiatives address key areas that foster human development and self-sufficiency, essential for long-term progress in Osun.
Similarly, Senior Special Assistant on Intergovernmental Affairs, Hon. Tegbe, emphasized the governor’s commitment to fair and balanced development, refuting claims that Adeleke’s initiatives focus solely on Ede.
He highlighted ongoing projects in Ile-Ife, Ilesha, Osogbo, and other part of the state, stressing that every part of Osun is a priority. This inclusive approach to governance ensures that all communities benefit from state resources, bridging disparities and fostering unity.
In the same vein, On opportunities in the Media Space, Mr. Sola Isola, known as “Prof,”urged participants to use free online courses to build valuable skills. This focus on self-development is significant for Osun’s youth, equipping them with tools to explore career paths in media and technology.
This empowerment of young people supports job creation and boosts economic resilience, helping address unemployment in Osun.
In closing, Comrade Samakin expressed gratitude to Mallam Olawale Rasheed for his support in making the conference a success. The event underscored the administration’s commitment to fostering community involvement and uplifting the voices of citizens who champion positive change in Osun.
