Osun grassroot Media Team Hosts End-of-Year Media Conference, Sensitizes Grassroots Influencers on Promoting Good Governance

The grassroot Media Team in Osun State, an online advocacy media platform championing the good governance initiatives of Governor Ademola Adeleke, under the leadership of Mallam Olawale Rasheed, the Spokesperson to the Executive Governor of Osun State, held its monthly and end-of-year media conference today.
The gathering of the grassroot media team conference was a fantastic one, which comprises of the representative across the thirty local government of Osun State including area council, Mondakeke.
Hon. Hezekiah Olabamiji Oladele (HOB), Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media, emphasized the strategic importance of communicating Governor Adeleke’s achievements in Yoruba, the local dialect. He highlighted that most residents of Osun State are indigenous people, making the use of Yoruba critical for effective messaging.
Hon. Oladele also addressed participants’ concerns, assuring them that all issues raised would be relayed to the appropriate authorities for urgent action.
In his address, Hon. Abdulraheem Adekilekun, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Broadcast Media, underscored the dual purpose of the conference; equipping grassroots media influencers with strategies to promote Governor Adeleke’s administration and gathering public opinions on government performance. He commended participants for relaying community feedback, stressing that any government aspiring to succeed must value honest input from its constituents. He encouraged the grassroot influencers to consistently provide feedback on policies and projects, promising that concerns affecting public interest would be promptly addressed.
Hon. Olalekan Badmus, Special Assistant to the Governor on Digital Media, delivered a lecture on “Media Strategy,” where he outlined key approaches for grassroots influencers to effectively engage their audience. He advised participants to identify their strengths and continuously refine their skills for maximum impact towards the success, and propagating of the current administration to the public under the leadership of Governor Ademola Adeleke.
Hon. Sola Isola, fondly known as Proff, advised influencers to craft messages that are short, simple, and clear for better audience reception.
In his remarks, Comrade Samakin Abdul-Jeleel Abiodun, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media Monitoring, urged members to remain dedicated to their online advocacy efforts, emphasizing commitment and consistency. Also emphasized on why the members of grassroot media team should be hardworking and focus on the interest of promoting the achievements of the current administration which is also an advantage for each members.
The grassroot Media Team members was also allowed to asked questions, submitted their opinions and also present their useful ideas to the official representatives.
The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Intergovernmental Affairs, Hon.Adisa Akintegbe (Builder Tegbe) appreciated the participants for their loyalty, steadfastness, hardworking, and sacrifices they invested to this administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke. In his closing remark, he acknowledged the energetic effort of all Grassroot Media Team across the local government areas they represent.
This conference reflects the administration’s commitment to inclusive governance and fostering open communication between the government and the grassroots.
