Osun LG Election: Azeez Taiwo Declares His Intention to Contest for Ward 10 Councillor
In a move aimed at strengthening the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ilesa West Local Government, Azeez Taiwo has formally declared his intention to contest for the position of Councillor in Ward 10. The declaration was made yesterday in the presence of party executives and members.
Taiwo, a prominent member of the PDP, expressed his gratitude to Hon. Ibukun Fadipe (I.B.K) and Hon. Sunday Komolafe Ishola for their unwavering support to the party. He also acknowledged the efforts of his ward chairman, J.O Tunde Komolafe, the vice chairman Madam Adebiyi PKA Iya Eleyin, the ward secretary Kola Ajewole and other executives.
The election, slated for February 22, 2025, is being organized by the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSSIEC). With Taiwo’s declaration, the race for the Ward 10 Councillor seat is expected to be keenly contested. His candidacy is seen as a testament to the party’s commitment to grassroots development and democratic values.
