QMA Empowers 50 Women with Tricycles, Marking Historic Milestone
In a landmark event, the esteemed organization, Queen Moremi Ajasoro (QMA) Initiatives, made history yesterday by empowering fifty women in Ile Ife with tricycles.
Renowned for its dedication to empowering youths, particularly females, the Initiative took a significant step forward by providing fifty women with tricycles, commonly referred to as Keke Maruwa.
Global Ambassador of the QMA Initiatives, Olori Aderonke Ademiluyi-Ogunwusi, delivered a stirring charge to the recipients, urging them to utilize the tricycles judiciously for the betterment of society.
In her speech Olori Ronke said women are about half the population of the world.So it is very important to empower women to become financially sustainable and this is our core message at the QMA initiative that was set up in 2016 by her Husband The Ooni of Ife.He is a strong advocate for gender equality and believes that women should be provided with skills and tools to enable them thrive and he does this through many programs and partnerships like the one being done here today in partnership with TVS.
His Imperial Majesty believes that various programs must be held,where women can be taught skills to fend for themselves in case they face financial crisis.Hence,the introduction of the Queen Riders tricycle training program for women.
Commisioner for Cooperative and Empowerment Hon. Bayo Ogunbamgbe eulogised her Royal majesty for her philantrophic gestures to her community and he also thanked His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Babatunde Ogunwusi for his support to various humanitarian services rendered by Olori Aderonke Ogunwusi to the humanity.
Expressing gratitude for the generous gesture, the beneficiaries hailed the Queen and the Initiative for their impactful contribution to their lives.
The event was graced by distinguished dignitaries, including the Obalufe of Ife, His Royal Highness Oba Idowu Adediwura, Commissioner for Cooperative/Empowerment Hon. Bayo Ogungbangbe, Special Adviser to the Governor on Cooperative/Empowerment Hon. Isaac Durojaye, Osun State Director of Empowerment Mrs. Oginni, Chairman of Ife Central Local Government Barrister Rotimi Adeyenuwo, Chairman of Ife East Local Government Hon. Haruna Odunyemi, Hon. Ronke Agbogunleri, Supervisor for Women Affairs in Ife Central Local Government, as well as representatives from TVS Machine and Gama Mobility, Mr. Victor Momodu and Mr. Samuel, respectively.
