Special Adviser On Agriculture Visits Osun State SUBEB Chairman to Discuss Resuscitating School Farms
Today, the Special Adviser on Agriculture to Governor Adeleke, Hon. Niran Atidade paid an important visit to the Osun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) Chairman, Hon. Ibukun Fadipe (IBK) at his office. The purpose of the visit was to discuss the revival of school farms across the state as part of the government’s efforts to promote agriculture in schools amongst other things.
During the visit, fruitful discussions were held regarding the importance of integrating agriculture into the school curriculum and the benefits it offers to students and the community at large. The Chairman, Hon. Ibukun Fadipe, expressed his commitment to supporting the initiative, highlighting the positive impact it would have on students’ practical understanding of agriculture and food production.
In addition to discussing the resuscitation of school farms, other pertinent agricultural issues were deliberated upon. The Chairman also gave fatherly advice to navigate my office. Furthermore, during the visit, the Special Adviser also had the opportunity to meet with the Chief Whip, Hon. Wale Akerele, the Honourable member representing Ilesa West State Constituency. This meeting provided a platform to further discuss the importance of agriculture in the state’s development agenda and explore ways to collaborate effectively to achieve the shared goals of agricultural development and economic growth.
This visit was highly productive, with both parties expressing their commitment to working together to resuscitate school farms and promote agricultural development in Osun State. The collaboration between the Special Adviser on Agriculture, the SUBEB Chairman, and other stakeholders is expected to yield positive results in advancing agricultural education and enhancing food security in the state.
