It is true that, when the righteous are in power, what seems impossible will be possible. I really appreciate you for giving someone like us the opportunity to be part of the Caretaker member of my beloved Council.
On the same appreciation note, I really appreciate the number two citizen of our State, the person whom blue blood runs through his vein and also Baba for the youths, Prince Kola Adewusi. Without mincing of words, your pieces of advice, have been propelling me to go higher. Thanks so much our very own Papi Kay.
To the great scholar, erudite Professor, a great politician par excellence, Prof. Adewale Oladipo, if time has permitted me, I would have written a whole book just to tell people, that knows little about you, on how good, well experienced, builder of men, you are. Sir, your leadership style is always worthy of emulation. And it’s your guidance that have been guiding us to where we’re today.
My venturing into active politics, started in some decades back. In 2008, during the administration of H.E. (Prince) Olagunsoye Oyinlola, I had the opportunity of representing the great people of Okerewe Ward 1, as the Honourable Councillor.
During this moment, I was elected as the Leader of the House. My contributions during the time of being the leader, was too numerous, to the development of our Local Government, Ife East Local Government. Those contributions did not make me not to give back to those that committed the mantle of representation into my hands.
I carried out, a lot of empowerment in my Ward. These were some of the things that I did;
– A block of two(2) classrooms, at St. Philip’s Anglican Primary School, Iloro.
– Distribution of ten(10) cement poles.
– Empowering the community with five(5) motorcycles.
– Grants to all the SMEs, i.e farmers, traders etc.
– Three(3) dryers for hairdressers.
– Empowering of twenty five(25) people, with ten thousand naira(#10,000) each.
And so on.
Very soon, I will be reeling out the plans, I have in stock for the great people of Ife Ooye Local Council Development Area, as the Vice Chairman. These projects are too continue with my good way of giving back to the society that produced me. Most importantly, I appreciate all my teeming supporters, for being a source of inspiration to me.
